To ensure a smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable experience, we recommend that all guests come prepared with a few essential personal items. While Backcountry Adventures provides high-quality winter gear, the following items will help you stay organized, comfortable, and ready to fully enjoy your time in Yellowstone.
Please bring a physical copy of your driver’s license, as well as a physical copy of your National Park Pass if you have one. Digital versions are not always accepted due to limited connectivity in the park.
Guests should also bring a camera and/or binoculars to take full advantage of Yellowstone’s incredible wildlife and scenery. A reusable water bottle is recommended to stay hydrated throughout your tour, along with snacks for added comfort during longer excursions.
If you take any medications, please bring all necessary prescriptions, as access to services within the park is limited. We also recommend sunglasses and sunscreen, as sun exposure can be intense even in winter conditions due to reflection off the snow.
Finally, a small backpack is helpful for carrying your personal items throughout the day.
Being properly prepared ensures a safer, more comfortable, and more enjoyable experience in Yellowstone’s unique winter environment.
